- Identify the five most common mouthparts.
- Understand the basic structure of mouthparts and their functions.
- Know the eating habits of insects and the source of their food.
ACTIVITIES AND INSTRUCTION
- Match the insect with the food it eats.
- Match the different eating habits with their descriptions.
- Learn the different types of wings and match them with their descriptions.
- Integrated Exercise: Dice out the insects' eating habit first and drag it into the blank on the top. Then, give an example of an insect with the corresponding eating habit, and fill in the bottom blank with the correct mouthpart. Students can review insects’ eating habits and mouthparts through this exercise.
