Moderator mode

Use Moderator mode to selectively allow users who can present on the IFP board. This allows the host better control over the sharing session.

With this feature, the host can:

  • Manage who has access to present content, thus maintaining the flow of the session.
  • Avoid interruptions from unauthorized users by ensuring that only authorized participants can take control of the screen.
  • Provide a layer of security by limiting access to sensitive information shared during the session.

Hosts can also switch presenters easily, giving them flexibility to manage multiple speakers or contributors.

Moderator setup

To share via the AirSync Sender, perform the following steps:

On the target IFP:

  1. Open the AirSync app.
  2. Note the following details:

  4. Leave the app running, then head over to your device.

On the target device:

  3. Click Next.
  4. On the next page, click Share
    1. Type a unique name to identify this device on the Participants list.

  5. If Moderator mode is enabled on the target IFP, the following events happen:
    1. On the IFP, the device appears as a new entry on the Participants list.
    2. The AirSync Sender app displays a waiting screen.

Start device sharing

At this point, the host must allow the device to present on the screen.

On the IFP:

  1. Locate the device that will be sharing.
  2. Click Share.
  3. Note that the screen will be blank while it waits for the device to start sharing.

On the device:

  1. Once the host grants the device permission to share, the AirSync Sender app asks the user to specify the content to be shared.
  2. Select a view to share, then click Share.

  3. The IFP should now start showing the contents playing on the device's screen.

Other features available

The following features are available during sharing:

  • If the host selects multiple participants to share their screens, AirSync switches to split-screen mode. For more information on how to manage split-screen mode, see the following article:

  • The participants can also enable touchback so they can control their devices from the IFP. To learn more about touchback, see the following article:

  • Moderator mode allows a maximum of 6 devices connecting as participants. Once connected, a moderator can then enable sharing for 4 to 6 devices simultaneously on the IFP, depending on the IFP model.
