Tools
During a presentation, use the Tools feature to add interactive tools like clocks, timers, and calculators to your canvas. Both students and teachers can engage with these utilities for dynamic learning.
Launching Tools
To launch the Tools feature, perform the following:
- Click the Magic Box on the main toolbar.
- On the menu, locate and click the Tools icon.
Note that the menu has two tabs:- The Home tab displays all tools by category.
- The All Features tab displays all tools as a list.
- A new Tools window should open.
Stationery
Tools under this category provide methods to draw certain types of lines and measure them as well.
Ruler Demonstrate how to draw straight lines. Reference the marked increments to ensure accurate measurements. |

Protractor Use to measure angles. Create angles as needed for any geometric construction you've added to the canvas. |

Compass Drawer Create circles and arcs of varying radii. There are options available to adjust the tool's settings and rotate it to achieve the desired shapes. |

Set Square Generate straight lines and construct various angles. Rotate and resize the tool as needed for your specific geometric tasks. |

Navigational Compass Use this tool measures angles and bearings. Adjust and rotate the tool to obtain precise directional information. |
Widgets
Tools under this category provide "live" interactive objects that can be added to the canvas. Some tools may need additional customization that must be configured before presenting them to class.
Dice Use this tool to simulate the roll of 6-sided dice. Configure up to nine dice. Dice can be customized using colors, images, or text. |

Flash card This tool facilitates the creation of question-answer pairs. Optional images can be added on either side of the flashcards. |

Clock Display an analog clock for timekeeping. This clock can be added on the canvas or while in desktop mode. |
|
Timer & Stopwatch The timer allows for setting countdowns, with the option to include alarms. The stopwatch can function in full-screen or a minimized mode. |

Spotlight Emphasize specific information using this tool. It will black out the screen, revealing a small circular area for focus. |

Magnifier Zoom in on objects located on the canvas or desktop. Control the size and magnification level for a detailed view. |

Blinder Conceal the screen to reveal canvas sections in a controlled manner. This technique can help maintain audience focus during presentations. |

Math input panel Write mathematical formulas and symbols using a pen tool. Subsequently, you can also insert your work onto the canvas as formatted text. |

XY Graph Plot lines on the digital graph paper to illustrate mathematical concepts. This will give you a visual representation of the functions you're discussing. |

Calculator Adds a simple standard calculator (not scientific) to the canvas. This tool allows you to perform live arithmetic operations during a presentation. |

Flash cards created in new versions of myViewBoard are not backward compatible and will not be displayed on older releases.
