myViewBoard UI overview
myViewBoard organizes key features within toolbars that are placed around the canvas. The canvas is kept open front and center so you can focus on creation and collaboration.
For a brief overview of what each icon on the toolbars do, refer to their descriptions below.
Tab Bar
The Tab Bar allows users to add or delete tabs, as well as enabling quick switching between different content. Each tab represents a separate canvas that you can use to organize content by topic or activity.
New tab Adds a new tab. myViewBoard generates a new blank white canvas. Note that any default background set will be ignored. |

Close tab Closes the tab. You will be asked to save the file if you haven't saved it yet. |
Main Toolbar
The Main Toolbar provides access to core whiteboard tools to draw, erase, select, and insert objects. These tools serve as the primary methods for interacting with and editing content on the canvas.
Select Lets users pick, move, or resize objects on the myViewBoard canvas, with various options to organize and adjust content during use. |

Hand Moves the view of the myViewBoard canvas by clicking and dragging. Use it to navigate through the canvas. |

Pen Allows users to draw freehand strokes directly on the canvas. Use this tool to create text and drawings, or to draw over objects on the canvas to add annotations. |

Eraser To remove strokes and objects from the canvas. To set the Eraser as the active tool, click the following icon on the main toolbar: |

Shapes and Lines Allows users to insert 2D shapes, 3D shapes, lines, and tables into the canvas. |

Text Allows users to perform text-based operations on the canvas. Use the tool to type, copy, paste, and format text (via keyboard input or handwriting recognition) as well as use the resulting text in myViewBoard's own Immersive Reader and Text-to-Speech features. |

Sticky Notes Lets users add virtual notes to the myViewBoard canvas for annotations or reminders. These notes can then be resized and changed in color. |

File Management Enables users to access and save documents. It also allows users to connect with cloud storage services to retrieve and store their files. |
|
Magic Box Allows users to store and access multimedia content like images, videos, and documents. The Magic Box allows users to place content directly onto the myViewBoard canvas. |

Embedded Browser Embeds a web browser within the canvas, and provides a way to open, engage and interact with online content during a session. |

Screenshot Captures areas of the screen and inserts these as images onto the myViewBoard canvas. It helps include external content into presentations. |

Windows Toggle Allows users to switch between windows or applications without closing the myViewBoard canvas interface. When active, it also provides access to some myViewBoard tools. |

Undo Let users reverse previous actions performed on the myViewBoard canvas. Use to manage changes when creating lessons. |

Background Management
The Background Management panel lets users customize the canvas background with color fills, patterns, or grid styles, and allows the canvas to be tailored to different use cases.

Floating Toolbar
This toolbar enables users to add new pages and navigate between them within a tab. It also supports sequential presentation mode for structured walkthroughs during meetings or lessons.
Drag handle Allows users to reposition the floating toolbar on the canvas. Click and drag the handle to move the toolbar to a more convenient location during use. |

Present mode Switches to a full-screen view of the canvas, hiding non-essential UI elements. This mode is useful for displaying content to an audience without distractions. |

Paste Inserts the current contents of the system clipboard into the canvas. |
|
Previous page Navigates to the preceding page in the current canvas session. Useful when reviewing or referencing earlier content during a presentation or lesson. |
|
Page management Opens a page overview panel, allowing users to reorder, duplicate, or delete pages. This feature helps organize multi-page sessions efficiently. |
|
Next page Advances to the following page on the canvas. It provides quick navigation when working through multi-page content. |
|
Add new page Inserts a blank page into the current session. This lets users expand their canvas space for additional content or activities. |
Navigation Toolbar
The Navigation Toolbar contains tools that provides ease of navigation once your canvas becomes too large or complex. Use the canvas map for spatial orientation, with additional controls to center the view and adjust zoom levels.
Collapse button Minimizes the toolbar to the edge of the screen for a cleaner workspace. Click again to expand and restore access to navigation controls. |

Navigation map Displays a miniature overview of the canvas, indicating your current visible area. Use it to quickly jump to other parts of a large canvas. |
|
Center canvas Centers the canvas view around the currently active content or objects. Helpful for reorienting the display after extensive panning or zooming. |

Zoom out Decreases the zoom level to show a wider view of the canvas. Useful for seeing more content or understanding layout at a glance. |

Zoom percentage Displays the current zoom level as a percentage. Clicking it typically provides preset zoom options for quick adjustments. |
Zoom in Increases the zoom level to allow for closer inspection of canvas details. Ideal when working on fine elements or annotations. |

User account Displays the active user’s account information and settings. Clicking it opens options for sign out, profile management, and other integrations. |
