myViewBoard settings


Guide for IT admins

This is a quick summary to help IT admins navigate and find key settings in the new ViewSonic Entity portal.




Entity admins

Some key settings are now reorganized between the myViewBoard Admin settings and ViewSonic Entity portal:


  • ViewSonic Entity portal 
    All settings related to Entity management (domain, users, roles, etc.) have been moved to the following portal: 
     https://cloud.viewsonic.com/entity

  • myViewBoard Admin settings 
    For admins that need to configure features, performance, and user interactions that are specific to myViewBoard, visit the following URL:
     https://myviewboard.com

Admin scope

Each ViewSonic product will now have their own pages to assign users as admins. See examples below:



ViewSonic Entity


Users assigned with the admin role here have can make changes on the portal sections that are specific to their role. For more information about assigning roles to users, see the link below:

myViewBoard


Users assigned as myViewBoard admins have rights to make changes to myViewBoard settings that affect all users of myViewBoard. For more information, see the article below:

Manager


Users must now be explicitly granted access to Manager so they can access the console, send remote commands, and perform various adminstrative tasks specific to Manager.

Adding users

Note that all ViewSonic products will now populate their user list based on the user data stored in the ViewSonic Entity portal. To manage, add, or remove users, admins must now visit the Users page in the ViewSonic Entity portal.
