Install on Windows

The Quiz Tool is a native component of the latest myViewBoard v3.0. 

Admins managing multiple Windows devices can deploy the latest myViewBoard 3.0 as a fresh install, or update an existing 3.0 installation to the latest version.

Download the installer

Head over to the myViewBoard website to download the latest version of the installer. The installer combines both the myViewBoard 3.0 + Quiz Tool into one package. Deploying it installs both together, and avoids a separate Quiz Tool install.

Install to one device

To deploy as a new install on a single device, follow the steps below.
 

1. Run the MSI installer and click Next.
2. Accept both the myViewBoard and ClassSwift EULAs.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
4. Launch myViewBoard 3.0. 
5. On the toolbar, turn on the Quiz Tool toggle.

Deploy to multiple devices

Use the MSI installer to deploy to multiple devices across your network. Mass deployment (of the MSI installer) through GPO or Microsoft Intune follows the same process as myViewBoard 3.0.

Update an existing install

Users already on myViewBoard 3.0 can use the Check for updates feature to gain access to the Quiz Tool toggle. To update an existing installation, follow the steps below.

1. Launch the myViewBoard app. 
2. Go to Account settings » About.
3. Tap the Check for updates button.
    
4. The update starts and will force-close the active myViewBoard app. Follow the on-screen instructions to go through the update process. The myViewBoard app should launch again after the process.
     
5. After the update is complete: 
   1. Verify that the app now reports at least version 3.4.10.x (or higher) on the About popup.
   2. Tap the Quiz Tool toggle to trigger the component download.

Tap the Check for updates button under Account settings » About.

Once the Quiz Tool toggle is turned on for the first time, myViewBoard will start downloading components required to run the Quiz Tool. Allow some time for the download to complete. 

• After you tap the toggle, an “Updating” loading screen appears to indicate the Quiz Tool is downloading and installing. Keep the device online until it finishes.
• When the screen switches to “Activating”, the download is done and the Quiz Tool is being enabled. Once it finishes, the Quiz Tool is ready to use.
