Personalization, subscription and resource info to enhance myViewBoard

Personalize myViewBoard account settings

Once you have created a myViewBoard account and have signed in, you will be redirected to the account home page. According to your subscription, you will be presented with different options across the title bar and tile menu with myViewBoard apps. 

To personalize your account, access account settings to modify your profile settings, such as profile information and account name.

Edit account settings

To access your myViewBoard account settings, follow these steps:

  1. Go to
  2. Press Sign in in the right-side of the title bar.
  3. Input your account details in the sign-in page.
  4. On the home page, open the user dropdown menu at the top-right (press your profile icon).
  5. Press Edit Account.
  6. The account settings page will open.

Account settings

Inside the account settings page, you will find three tabs: Account, Email Notification, and Secturity.


Modify account settings like your avatar and personal information.

Personal Avatar Customize your profile avatar, which is visible in as well as within certain apps like myViewBoard Whiteboard.
Profile Have the option to edit any of the following profile details:
  • First Name (required)
  • Last Name (required)
  • myViewBoard name (required)
  • Country 
  • State/Province/Region/County 
  • City
  • Role (drop-down menu provided) (required)
  • Preferred Language (required)

myViewBoard NAME

This is the name that will display as a host session name pop-up when you invite users to join your ongoing myViewBoard Whiteboard or myViewBoard Classroom session.

As a Whiteboard host, learn how to share your session, and as a student, learn how to join a session through Companion app or Whiteboard Portal.

Delete Account

If you wish to initiate the account deletion process, press  .

An email will be sent to you thereafter, in which you must make a final confirmation that you wish to delete your account.



In order for entity users to delete their account, they must do so by contacting their entity's admin and requesting they be removed from the entity. Depending on how the admin removes the account, these users may still have to complete the deletion process in account settings after they have been removed from the entity.

Once you have finished updating accounts settings, press to save changes.

Email Notification

In this section, select whether you wish to receive alerts about myViewBoard's latest updates.

To protect your myViewBoard account information, we offer two-factor authentication (2FA) when signing in to myViewBoard.

To enable 2FA, you must have set up an account password.


myViewBoard PASSWORD

Passwords are created when using the Non-3rd party email sign-up method when creating an account. If you signed up using 3rd party single sign-on (using Google, Microsoft, etc.), your 3rd party account's password cannot be used to activate 2FA.

However, at any time, you can establish a myViewBoard account password, which is required as part of the 2FA setup process. (See below.)

For users who created a myViewBoard account using Google or Microsoft single sign-on (SSO), follow these steps to establish an account password:

  1. Go to and press Sign in in the title bar.
  2. Input the email address you used when creating your myViewBoard account with SSO.
  3. Press .
  4. You will receive an email confirmation.
  5. Open the email message and click .
  6. Set up your new password.
  7. Press .
  8. Await the Success message as final confirmation of password setup.

With a myViewBoard account password, 2FA authentication setup is now possible:

  1. First, download and open Google Authenticator app onto your mobile or tablet device.
  2. Back at, sign in.
  3. On the home page, open the user dropdown menu at the top-right (press your profile icon).
  4. PressEdit Account.
  5. Go to the Security tab.
  6. Press .
  7. Input your myViewBoard account password.
  8. (On the Google Authenticator app) Scan the QR Code that displays.
  9. Press .
  10. (On the Google Authenticator app) View your Google Authenticator app for the verification code.
  11. Input the verification code into the 2FA pop-up.
  12. Press .
  13. To close the pop-up window, click .

User completes the two-factor authentication (2FA) process within myViewBoard Edit Account settings.

Change Password

To change your myViewBoard account password, follow the steps down below:

  1. Go to and sign in.
  2. On the home page, open the user dropdown menu at the top-right (press your profile icon).
  3. Press  Change Password.
  4. Input your current.
  5. Input a new password.
  6. Press to save the changes.


In the case you have forgotten your password, go to the sign-in page and press Forget Password? Afterward, follow the instructions to change your password.
