Hardware overview (IFP50-5)

Welcome to ViewBoard and your newly acquired interactive flat panel (IFP). Your ViewBoard IFP50-5 series comes with various components to assist in connecting devices and enhance your usage of the ViewBoard.

This article introduces the basics of the IFP50-5's additional hardware, as well as give an overview of the display's control panel and ports.

Control panel

The control panel and front input/output (I/O), found on the bottom-right corner of the front of the IFP50-5, contains basic commands for the device and USB ports.

Refer to the below table below for function details.


Button/Port

Function

1 Ambient Light Sensor Monitor a room's ambient light.
2 Remote control receiver Receives commands from the device's remote control.
3 Power indicator
  • Press to turn the device ON.
  • Press again to turn display backlight off or on.
  • Press and hold to turn the device OFF.
4 Home Return to the ViewBoard's home screen.
5 Return Return to the ViewBoard's previous screen.
6 Settings
  • Go to the settings menu.
  • Press and hold for 3 seconds to freeze the screen.
7 Decrease volume
8 Increase volume
9 USB
  • USB Type A port.
  • Connect USB devices such as hard disks, keyboard, mouse, etc.

Input/output panels

Your IFP50-5 comes with multiple input/output (I/O) panels. The ports on these panels provide different ways to connect external devices by cable.

1 TOUCH 1 Touch signal output to external PC device.
Pair with HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 to navigate an external device with touch.
2 HDMI 1/2/3 High-definition input; connect to a PC (or other device) with an HDMI output.
Note: HDMI 1 supports HDMI CECC.
3 TOUCH 2 Touch signal output to external PC device.
Pair with HDMI 3 to navigate an external device with touch.
4 USB Type-C
  • 65W maximum power delivery.
  • DP 1.2 with USB 2.0 return.
  • 10M/100M Ethernet.
5 USB Type-A Connect USB devices such as a hard disk, keyboard, mouse, etc.
6 SPDIF For transmitting digital audio signals.
7 HDMI OUT Connect to devices to display content from your IFP50-5 to it.
8 AUDIO OUT Audio to an external speaker or sound system.
9 LAN
  • Standard RJ45 (10M/100M/1000M) Internet connection interface.
  • For ViewBoard and slot-in PC input sources.
10 RS-232 Serial interface; used for mutual transfer of data between devices.
11 AC IN AC power input.
12 Power switch Turn AC power supply ON/OFF.
