myViewBoard control via Companion
Use the Companion app to control your active myViewBoard sessions directly from your mobile device.

These features are only available to users who selected the Host/IT Admin role during sign in.
Login via QR code
Use the built-in QR code scanner in the Companion app to quickly and securely sign in to myViewBoard, without typing credentials. To sign in using a QR code, perform the following:
- Launch the Companion app.
- Sign in to your account.
- Click the QR code scanner icon.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the myViewBoard screen.
To display the QR code on myViewBoard, click the icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen to load the sign-in options.
What happens next depends on the QR code being scanned:

QR code from the myViewBoard sign in popup:
Triggers an automatic sign-in to a target myViewBoard app using the currently logged in account.

QR code from the myViewBoard enroll popup:
Registers the myViewBoard as a new instance under the entity of the currently logged in account.

QR code from the myViewBoard.com website:
Triggers an automatic sign-in into the myViewBoard.com website using the currently logged in account.
As a remote control
This feature allows hosts to use the Companion app as a virtual “remote control” for the active myViewBoard session. To establish a connection between the app and the session, both the myViewBoard app and the Companion app must be signed in under the same ViewSonic account.
Once a connection is established, tap on the following options to trigger specific events on the myViewBoard canvas:

URL Tap to display the popup that shows myViewBoard session URL and QR code for Throw, Pop Quiz, and Polls interaction. |

QR code Save the myViewBoard session to the linked cloud storage and generate a QR code for students to download the session file. |
|
|
Laser Pointer Display a laser pointer over the myViewBoard canvas. Users must move their phone to move the laser. |
|
|
Previous Navigate to the previous page if the current OLF file loaded into the myViewBoard contains multiple pages. |
|
|
Next Navigate to the next page if the current OLF file loaded into the myViewBoard contains multiple pages. |
As a laser pointer
This feature allows hosts to control a real-time laser pointer that uses the device's gyroscope to move this pointer across the myViewBoard canvas. Use to highlight or point out specific areas of the canvas. By default, this feature is turned OFF. Toggle the Laser pointer option to the ON position to use the following tools:

Laser Stroke Touch-and-hold to use as a highlighter that draws lines over the myViewBoard canvas. |

Center Re-center the laser on the IFP screen. |
|
|
Remove strokes Delete all marks made by the laser pointer. |

For wireless presentations
This feature allows hosts to remotely review, allow, or reject access to the Wireless Presentation session currently streaming on the myViewBoard canvas. Use to control student access and screen sharing.

This feature is only available to users with a Premium or Entity account.

Enable Turn on the wireless presentation feature. Once enabled, participants can send, cast, or share their screen to the current myViewBoard session. |

Moderation Display a list of participants requesting access to share their screen. Click on a participant's entry to grant access. |
Resize presentation frames
This feature allows hosts to adjust the size of the presentation frame (in real-time) when displaying a participant's screen during a wireless presentation.

Enlarge Enlarge the size of the presentation screen. |
|
|
Shrink Reduce the size of the presentation screen. |
