Assign user roles
TeamOne uses role-based access to manage what users can do. Team admins can assign specific user roles to define rights for boards, projects, and teams.
Board roles
Board roles define what actions users can perform for a single TeamOne board. A general overview of board roles:
- Admins have full access to board features.
- Members can edit the board, share boards and use templates, but cannot change settings or other member's permissions.
- Contributors can only view, edit, or comment on a board.
For a more detailed look at what actions each role can perform, see the table below:

Project roles
Project roles define what actions users can perform for a TeamOne project. Since a TeamOne project can include multiple boards, these actions also apply to all boards under that project. A general overview of project roles:
- Admins have full control over projects and boards.
- Members can view but not change the settings or another member's permissions in the project.
- Contributors can only view, edit, or comment on a board.

- Admins have full control over a team.
- Members have fewer privileges on managing different projects.
- Collaborators can only access certain projects and boards.
