System updates and firmware versions (IFP52)
This article outlines the methods available to update your device's firmware. In addition, find a summary of the most recent firmware version notes.
Accessing the System Update menu
From the shortcut tray or app tray, open the Settings app and go to Security > System Update.
System update options
By default, your ViewBoard automatically searches for system firmware updates whenever connected to the Internet. Additionally, you have the option to manually update your ViewBoard firmware version.

Upgrading from Android 9 to Android 11
IFP52-1C
As of firmware version 20230807, users have the option to upgrade to Android 11. The following are instructions on how to do so.
First, verify your device is capable of upgrading:
- Go to Settings > System > About device.
- Under Build number, verify the firmware version: 20230807 or above required
- Â Go to Settings > System > System Update:
- The version at the bottom-right corner should show 1.45.0 or above.
- An additional button, UPGRADE TO ANDROID 11, should display to the right of CHECK NOW.
If your firmware version isn't up to date, please use your preferred firmware update method to install the latest firmware version.
To proceed with the upgrade,
- Press UPGRADE TO ANDROID 11 and wait for your system to update.
- After the update is complete, the firmware version should display 20230825.
Delete
IFP52-1A/IFP52-1B/IFP52-1BH
As of firmware version 20230817, users have the option to upgrade to Android 11. The following are instructions on how to do so.
First, verify your device is capable of upgrading:
- Go to Settings > System > About device.
- Under Build number, verify the firmware version: 20230817 or above required.
- Â Go to Settings > System > System Update:
- The version at the bottom-right corner should show 1.45.0 or above.
- An additional button, UPGRADE TO ANDROID 11, should display to the right of CHECK NOW.
If your firmware version isn't up to date, please use your preferred firmware update method to install the latest firmware version.
To proceed with the upgrade,
- Press UPGRADE TO ANDROID 11 and wait for your system to update.
- After the update is complete, the firmware version should display 20230818.

Improvements
- Ethernet via USB Type-C port: This feature can now be enabled/disabled.

- Show/hide side toolbar: This feature can be disabled in the Input Sources settings.
- Audio when external USB camera is connected to IFP: The option to choose an audio output device has been added.
- CEC support: The command to power on the device has been added.
