October brings new features and improvements designed to give users more control and simplify deployment in school and enterprise environments.

myViewBoard for Windows

We're excited to share the latest updates to the myViewBoard platform. This bumps up the version number to v3.2.16.914.

New auto-align setting

A new toggle has been added in Settings that sets whether or not objects align automatically when moving them around the canvas, giving you more flexibility based on how you prefer to work.

Introducing the all-user MSI installer

Starting with version 3.0, myViewBoard for Windows now uses an All-User MSI installer as the default installation method. This installer: 

• Runs at the system level
• Requires administrator permissions
• Installs the app for all users on a device

It’s designed to make large-scale deployments smoother and more reliable, especially in education and enterprise environments. This change addresses common issues caused by the previous per-user installation approach. The new installer has been tested with major deployment tools and supports both silent and automated setups. 

Going forward, the All-User MSI package will be the primary download available on the official ViewSonic website. The older per-user installer will still be available, but only for special use cases.

Reduced memory usage

We've made improvements across the app to lower its overall memory footprint. This means myViewBoard 3.0 now runs more efficiently, which can lead to faster performance and better responsiveness, especially on devices with limited resources.
