This article outlines key details like system requirements and steps to download myViewBoard.

  • Processor: Intel Core i3 x86, 3.2 GHz or above
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Disk drive: HDD or SSD
  • Bandwidth: 25 Mbps (wired connection preferred)
  • Other software required: .NET 4.82
  • Operating system: Windows 10 and above, macOS, and Chrome OS
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 x86, 3.2 GHz or above
  • Bandwidth: 25 Mbps
  • One of the following browsers:

2To ensure the minimum .NET Framework requirement of version 4.8 is met on your device, make sure your Windows 10 64-bit meets the minimum requirement of version 1607.
3For users running 11th Gen Intel, performance issues are expected when using the Embedded Browser or when uploading GIF files. In order to improve performance, please update your Intel Graphics Driver to version 30.0.100.9667 or a newer production version. The latest drivers can be found here.   • Screen resolution: 1080p (Buttons may be difficult to see on smaller or lower resolution screens.)
  • Screen size: 10-inches or above
  • Device: Tablets or displays running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher (Android phone users will not be able to download myViewBoard for Android.)

Download and install myViewBoard

Windows

Download myViewBoard for Windows by following these steps:

  1. Go to myViewBoard.com.
    • If already signed in,
      1. Open the Download myViewBoard applications pop-up, found in the header.
      2. Press the Windows icon  in the pop-up to download the installer.
    • If not signed in,
      1. Click Download in the header.
      2. Press the myViewBoard icon.
      3. Press the Download for Windows 64 bit button.
  2. The file will download to your local drive.

Install by following these steps:

  1. Open the installation file.
  2. On the myViewBoard Setup window, press Next.
  3. Press Install (requires administrative privileges).
  4. If prompted on a separate window, press Yes to allow the app to make changes to your device.
  5. When installation is complete, press Finish.

ViewBoard USERS

ViewBoards or other ViewSonic devices will have myViewBoard for Android installed by default. To launch myViewBoard for Android on these devices, click the side tool bar, and select the myViewBoard logo. myViewBoard for Android will automatically start. myViewBoard is also accessible from the home screen's app tray.

To install myViewBoard for Android from the Google Play store,

  1. Go to the Google Play store.
  2. Search myViewBoard.
  3. Press Install.

CHROME OS USERS IN AN ORGANIZATION

If your Chrome OS device and Google account are tied to an organization, your IT admin may need to allow your users to install myViewBoard. Please consult with your IT department if you can't install myViewBoard through the Google Play store.

You can also download the APK file from myviewboard.com:

  1. Go to myviewboard.com.
    • If already signed in,
      1. Press the Download myViewBoard applications button in the header.
      2. Press the Android icon  in the popup to download the APK.
    • If not signed in,
      1. Press Download in the header.
      2. Press the myViewBoard icon.
      3. Press the Download Android APK button.
  2. The file will download to your local drive.
  3. Open the file to install it.
    • You may need to grant permission to installs apps from unknown sources.

To install myViewBoard for iOS from the Apple App Store,

  1. On your device, open the App Store.
  2. Search myViewBoard.
  3. Press GET.

Enroll instances

For entity users only, enrolling myViewBoard is recommended so IT Admin can configure certain myViewBoard settings more easily. myViewBoard requires a stable internet connection to successfully enroll your instance. Enrollment only needs to be done once on a given instance after installation.

STANDARD, PRO, and PREMIUM USERS

Standard, Pro, and Premium users can skip ahead to signing in since enrolling your newly installed myViewBoard is not required.

myViewBoard FOR WINDOWS USERS

  • Enrolling myViewBoard is not currently supported within the myViewBoard for Windows app.
  • The only method of instance enrollment under an entity is through MSI installation. (Learn more.)
  • However, activation is no longer required as of v2.59.1.0 of myViewBoard for Windows. Simply launch myViewBoard after installation, sign in, and access the features available to your subscription tier.

Entity users can complete instance enrollment under their entity by the following methods:

Method 1: Enroll with myViewBoard Enrollment Form (any entity user)

  1. Install myViewBoard onto the device (visit the download page if the app is not already installed on your device).
  2. Open the software and sign in with your myViewBoard account.
  3. Press settings and click  for the software information tab.
  4. Press Enroll Software Instance under Entity.
  5. Complete the myViewBoard Enrollment Form by entering a myViewBoard name and a myViewBoard email address.
  6. After inputting the email address, await detection of the corresponding entity.
  7. A prompt should appear informing you of successful enrollment.

Method 2: Enroll with myViewBoard Enrollment QR Code (Entity Admin only)

  1. Install myViewBoard onto the device (visit the download page if the app is not already installed on your device).
  2. Open the software and sign in with your myViewBoard account.
  3. Press settings and click  for the software information tab.
  4. Press Enroll Software Instance under Entity.
  5. On the myViewBoard Enrollment Form, press Enroll via QR Code.
  6. Open the Companion app (make sure to be signed in with your Entity Admin account).
  7. Tap the QR code icon to open the scanner.
  8. Scan the QR code displayed on myViewBoard with your mobile device.
  9. On your mobile device, ensure you select your desired entity.
  10. Tap Submit.
  11. A prompt should appear on myViewBoard informing you of successful enrollment.

After sign-in, access the enrollment QR code or form in myViewBoard settings.

Update myViewBoard

In general, when a new version of myViewBoard becomes available, you'll receive a notification and a prompt in the app asking if you would like to update to the latest version.

If you don't see the notification prompt, you can also initiate the myViewBoard Updater through the settings menu. Go to the information tab to find the Update myViewBoard button.

If no update is available, you'll receive a "Version is up to date" dialog. Otherwise, you'll be prompted to update myViewBoard. (See myViewBoard Updater screen above.) Follow the instructions to initiate and complete the update.

If the update process is not initiating, we recommend you uninstall myViewBoard and download the latest version from myviewboard.com, following the steps above.

ViewBoard

If the update process is not initiating, we recommend you clear app data in the ViewBoard's settings. To do so, enter the App info screen for myViewBoard by either of the following methods:

  1. On the ViewBoard's home screen, locate the myViewBoard app.
  2. Press-hold the app icon and drag it to the top of the screen where it states App info.
  3. You'll either be prompted to input a password or set up a password. (Consult with your IT department if you don't know the password.)

Or

  1. On your ViewBoard's home screen, open Settings  from the app tray.
  2. Press App > App.
  3. You'll either be prompted to input a password or set up a password. (Consult with your IT department if you don't know the password.)
  4. Then, switch to the All tab.
  5. Locate myViewBoard and press the app name.

Once on the App info screen,

  1. If you see that myViewBoard is set as the default option under Launch by default, press Clear default.
  2. Then, under Storage, press Clear data.
  3. Finally, relaunch myViewBoard and attempt the update process again.
