Manager basic
New feature

The Manager console UI has been updated to provide an enhanced user experience:
- Access the new design through the "Switch to New Look" button in the upper-right corner. Switch back to the classic UI at any time.
- Be aware new features introduced in the future will only be supported in the new interface.
- Try it out now and share any suggestions you may have!
- Note 1: This is a beta release. We'll continue improving Manager's interface in future releases.
- Note 2: ViewBoard Box Control is only available in the classic UI console for now. We'll announce ViewBoard Box Control support in the new console in a future release.
- New model support: IFP33G
Improvement
- Broadcasting: When a broadcast is initiated and a device is in sleep mode, the screen will automatically turn on.
- Broadcasting: A device screen will remain ON during a broadcast, preventing a ViewBoard from entering sleep mode even ECO mode is enabled.
With Manager Advanced licenses
New features
- Broadcasting: Portrait mode broadcasting is now supported on select devices.
- Broadcast with portrait layouts for devices set to portrait orientation.
- A toggle button is now available when preparing a media content broadcast to switch to portrait layouts.
- Currently supported for CDE30 devices.
- Install certificate: Certificate installation is now supported in the latest firmware for the IFP33, IFP105S and CDE30.
Improvement
- Remote Desktop: Now, a user's account name will display in the upper corner of a device screen when Remote Desktop is active.

New ViewSonic device support: ViewSonic LDP and LDS series LED Displays
- The LDP and LDS series LED Displays are now supported in Manager.
- Refer to the device capability chart to confirm the supported features on these devices.

Whiteboard version support:
- When multiple device models are checked in a device list, and the Install Apps dialog is opened, users are informed of which versions of myViewBoard Whiteboard their devices support.
- This is to make users aware when different models support different versions of Whiteboard.

Update firmware to Android 11:
- The option to upgrade to Android 11 is now supported through the Update Firmware feature.
- Please update the devices to the latest version of Android 9. Then, the update to Android 11 button will be available after that.
- This firmware update is available for the following ViewBoard models: IFP52-1C/IFP52-1A/IFP52-1B/IFP52-1BH.
With Manager Advanced licenses

Apps Management in Profiles:
- When creating a profile, manage preloaded apps by setting them to show/hide on the ViewBoard OS home screen.
- This setting only affects apps already installed on devices. If the app isn't detected on a device, the selection will have no effect.

VBS-200A feature support update:
- Schedule startup and shutdown
- Remote Desktop
- Note: a firmware update of the VBS-200A to the September 2023 version or later is required.

Permissions: Users can now access all devices/files that aren't assigned to a group/folder.
- The permission options "All other devices" and "All other files" have been removed.
- If a device is added to Manager without assigning it to a group, any Manager user can access and manage it. If you wish to limit permissions for this device, move it to a group with your preferred customized permissions.
- If a file is uploaded to Manager without assigning it to a folder, any Manager user can access and manage it. If you wish to limit permissions for this file, move it to a folder with your preferred customized permissions.

Install a certificate onto devices:
- Users can now remotely install certificates onto devices.
- Find this feature in the main toolbar or on a device's Device Info page.
- Supported device: IFP50-5.
- Note: please update your device firmware to version 20230509 or later to use this feature.
- Permissions > new user permission controls support: Profiles, Back Up and Restore, Playlists.

Broadcasting > Videos and Playlists > Play Once:
- The option to "Play once" for multimedia and playlist playback is now available.
- This option is only available for video, audio, and playlist broadcasts.
- This option is only available in the single media layout (not available in mixed media layouts).
- Remote Desktop: Remote Desktop use will now time-out when no activity is detected for 30 minutes.

- View previously saved Wi-Fi SSID for a selected device.

- Device list > status indicator: Connection status stability has improved.

- Reports > exported XLSX file: Added the following usage information per device: serial number, firmware version, operating system, notes, group name, date of enrollment, Manager version, and Wi-Fi SSID.

- Request and activate a Manager Advanced free trial from the Advanced page, accessible from the Manager console.
- The trial license will activate within 15 minutes.

- Permissions > Media/Files Folder permission control: Configure which users can access certain folders.
- Profiles > Wi-Fi SSID support:
- Pre-configure a Wi-Fi SSID for devices with a device profile.
- Attention: configuring a Wi-Fi SSID will cause assigned devices to disconnect from the internet before establishing a new connection. Make sure a wireless adapter is connected to all assigned devices before assigning a profile with a configured Wi-Fi SSID.
Improvements
- Presentation file broadcasts:
- Experience an improved PowerPoint broadcast setup by completing all steps through the Broadcast feature on any device list.
- When starting a broadcast, upload PPT files (without the need to upload in a playlist) and have the broadcast begin automatically after the file conversion process is complete.
- Jobs > Broadcast with media content:
- Schedule broadcasts that include video and other media in currently supported broadcast layouts.
- Note: Text Editor and Presentation File content are not currently supported.
- Jobs > Backlight: Create jobs that set a device's backlight level.

- Apps & Media pages: The max size allowed has increased to 500MB.
- Entity selection page: Search functionality has been added to filter for entities under a user's admin account.

- Reports > device and groups filter:
- Search bar has been added in Reports when filtering for groups or devices.
- Find a device group or individual device quickly and generate its report.
- This saves time from having to navigate through pages of devices.

- Broadcast content from your saved PowerPoint files.
- Manager will convert slides into images and automatically save them into a playlist.
- Find this feature when viewing a playlist > Add file > PowerPoint.
- Broadcast audio files:
- Broadcast saved audio files.
- MP3 and AAC file types are supported.
- Files repository: Create folders in the Files repository for more convenient file management.
Improvements
- Update Jobs assigned devices UI, use 2 different fields for assigned devices and groups, new devices added to group will be added to jobs automatically.
- Broadcast web page > YouTube:
- A new option is available "Open YouTube video in full screen".
- Some YouTube videos do not permit embedding video in full screen. In such cases, make sure to toggle this option OFF so the video can play.
- Playlists: The max items allowed in a playlist is now 20.

- Designate device groups to receive CAP Messaging.
- Find all integration information you need to input into your Informacast Outbound CAP settings (CAP URL, Username, and Password).

Improvements
- The Manager app name has been changed to myViewBoard Manager.
- Device Support Info:
- This redirect sends you to an overview of device support and compatibility with Manager details regarding various ViewSonic devices.

- Media repository folder support: Create folders to all for better media file management.
Improvements
- Web Page Broadcast: When broadcasting a YouTube URL, the broadcast will automatically display in full screen and auto-play.

- SCALE-UP: App has been updated to 2.0.4, allowing for performance enhancement in a local LAN environment.

- Review Broadcast content:
- Review broadcast content while it's ongoing.
- View content by clicking the Broadcast button > End Broadcast.
- This saves you time from having to physically check devices for broadcast content.

New features
- Enhanced app management:
- Configure which apps will show on a device home screen from the Manager console.
- Find this feature in a device list by checking device boxes, clicking Apps in the main toolbar, and then Manage.
- Note: When configuring an app to hide on the home screen via this feature, the app can only be set to show on the home screen again via the same Manage Apps pop-up.
- Broadcast Web Page:
- The broadcast menu now includes a Web Page option.
- Input a web page URL in the Broadcast Web Page pop-up, and instantly broadcast it to selected devices.

- CDE4320/5520 added support:
- Remote control: Schedule startup and shutdown.
- Profiles: Configure standby mode (maps to Power Save Mode 1 setting in CDE4320/5520s, respectively).
- Jobs: Devices connected via ViewBoard Box RS232 can now be powered on/off via Jobs.
Improvements
- Profiles: Profiles can now be assigned from device pages. Select devices and find the Profiles icon in the main toolbar.
- UX improvement: Advanced features are now immediately accessible when selecting an Advanced device, even if the Advanced toggle on the main toolbar has not been switched on.
- UX improvement: Click the myViewBoard logo on the top-right to return to the myViewBoard home page.

- Use this feature to pre-configure a device settings profile and then apply it to multiple devices at once.
- For offline devices, profiles will apply to the devices once they go online.
- Take note: Different models of devices may not support all setting items.

- Playlists: Drag and drop multimedia items in a created playlist to change the playlist's order.
- Remote desktop: Improvements to mouse wheel functionality while controlling a device.
- Reports (app usage): Improvements to displaying app usage data for apps installed on devices.

- When toggling from the all devices list to the Advanced devices list, Advanced devices that are checked on the list will remain checked.
- Within Resources > Media, media files are now sorted alphabetically.
- Remote desktop:
- When remote desktop is initiated, the notice on the IFP now appears at the top of the screen.
- When remote desktop is initiated, the notice on the IFP is now moveable by the IFP user across the top of the screen.
- When ending a remote desktop session by closing the remote desktop window, a confirmation prompt will appear to confirm you want to terminate the session.
